Richard A. Maloy

 

Richard Maloy is a 1973 Marketing and Real Estate graduate of the University of Alabama where he now serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching Seniors and Graduate Students in the Finance, Real Estate and Legal Studies Department. He is a Principal Real Estate Broker in Alabama (1972) and Oregon (2007), holds a law degree and has earned the prestigious MAI, SRA and CRE professional appraisal and real estate counseling designations. He is an Appraisal Foundation approved instructor for USPAP and is on the approved instructor panel for the Appraisal Institute.

Richard serves at the national level of the Appraisal Institute where he is Chairman of its Washington, DC, based Government Relations Committee and member of the Strategic Planning Committee. He has held past positions in numerous committees and project teams including Professionalism, Professional Standards and Ethics Administration. Richard's committee positions have him at the forefront of fighting Mortgage Fraud at the national level and seeking regulatory solutions needed for recovery of the home ownership industry.

He is a certified appraiser in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, Oregon and Washington. His real estate consulting practice clients include banks, regulators, investors, developers, government agencies, corporations and others.

Richard has developed apartments, condominiums and subdivisions for his own account since the 1980's and has ongoing development activities in Alabama and Oregon. His dedication to professionalism is the foundation of his serving the Hood River real estate market as a team member of Avalon Project, LLC and principal broker for MoonDance Realty, LLC.

 

AJ Kitt, Listing Broker

 

As a former member of the U.S. Ski Team and 4-time Olympic competitor, AJ Kitt is also a successful real estate investor owning single-family residences, multi-family, office and retail properties. AJ cut his teeth in the development business in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, working for Storm Mountain Development, Inc. where he was project manager on several aspects of the development including Land Planning, implementation and construction of all recreational amenities, which included 14 miles of multi-use trail, 2 miles of perimeter fencing, and an Orvis Gold Medal Certified Fly-Fishing Center with 2.5 miles of enhanced stream habitat and more than 25 surface acres of flat water habitat. AJ has also developed Auto Suds Care Wash Center in Bingen, Washington from the ground-up, and done extensive rehab of the Hudson Building retail center in Goldendale, Washington. He is a licensed Realtor in both Oregon and Washington, and Project Manager and Listing Agent for MountainView Condominiums.
